The company Gaia has been a member of the Offshore Division for over a year now, adding to the range of services BOURBON offers to its clients, the major oil companies.
With a decade of experience already behind it, Gaia provides engineering services and expertise such as development studies for offshore fields, on-site surveys, specifications for underwater equipment, installation engineering, definition of work procedures, design and supply of job-specific equipment or supervision and performance of offshore installation work…
Off to a good start ! Gaia’s first operations were undertaken from the N’Duva, the Ulysse or the Bourbon Jade. After actively contributing to the special outfitting of the Vissolela, Gaia, working in collaboration with Sonasurf, installed 10 "jumpers" and participated in various missions on underwater installations in Esso’s block 15. Michel Gondolo, Gaia’s manager, expressed his satisfaction with results achieved, “The successful completion of these operations led Esso to recommend the Vissolela’s installation capacities to its other subsidiaries. Future operations for Mobil in Equatorial Guinea are now scheduled for the Vissolela with Gaia to develop procedures and supervise installations”.
For Michel Gondolo and his technical manager, Patrick Belenfant, the target is now to develop and promote these services for new clients on a larger number of vessels.
