Since a number of Board members were unavailable on the 2nd May, the date initially set for the Board Meeting of the Groupe Bourbon, the Meeting was postponed until 18th May 2005 to allow all the Board members to attend.
Involved in marine services for the offshore oil industry, in towage, assistance and salvage, and in bulk transport, the Groupe Bourbon is a leading international figure in maritime services.
The group also operates in retail via its subsidiary Vindémia.
The Groupe Bourbon is listed in Section B of the Mid 100 on the Euronext Eurolist, and employs 8,720 people. It recorded a turnover of €1.114 billion in 2004. Since 2nd February 2004, the Groupe Bourbon has been classified in the "Oil services" sector by Euronext .
