Paris, 4 August 2008BOURBON confirms that two of its officers, both of French nationality, attached to the Bourbon Apsara, were kidnapped following a land attack on Saturday 2nd August at about 9.30 p.m. local time, near the Nigeria oil industry hub of Port Harcourt in the Niger Delta.BOURBON is working closely with the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the local authorities (police, Special Security Service and the Government) to obtain their liberation.The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs wishes to emphasize that the utmost discretion is necessary in order to achieve a satisfactory outcome to this affair.BOURBON will disclose any new information when available and verified.
