Distribution
The Distribution
branch continues to develop steadily :
- business
in France (Réunion), 86 % of turnover in this sector, posts
highly satisfactory growth figures (+ 6,4 %) and illustrates the
commercial dynamism of our outlets,
- our
international business policy has generated a significant (+52.6%)
development of turnover in this sector. This policy includes the
opening of two new stores in Vietnam (March and April 2001), one
in Mayotte (May 2001) and the acquisition of a store on Mauritius
(October 2001).
It may
be noted that, following the increase of Vindémia capital subscribed
by Casino, the Distribution branch will be consolidated proportionally
(66.66%) as of January 1st 2002.
Maritime
Services
The following
factors should be borne in mind when considering the development of
turnover in our Maritime Services branch:
- the
transfer of our passenger transport business and the closure of
our coastal cruise business in the French West Indies (in the first
semester of 2001),
- assistance
missions which cannot be compared directly with those of the year
2000 (Erika),
- promising
development in deep offshore business, the development axis targeted
by the Group for the next coming years.
To
improve liquidity, Groupe Bourbon shares (French Secondary Market
Code Sicovam 6590 — SBF 250) were transferred as of 11th February
2002 from the " cotation fixing " quotation
category to the " cotation continu " category.
