Benefits of the GPA 254, a modern offshore AHTS

The GPA 254 AHTS will set new operation mode in anchor handling.

As a result of the diesel electric propulsion configuration, fuel efficiency is increased resulting in cost savings, lower emissions and higher reliability. Diesel electric also allows elimination of drive shafts and the main engines are moved from below deck resulting in a significant increase to below deck cargo capacities.

Dynamic Positioning class 2 creates full redundancy of major components as well as improves station-keeping at offshore installations thus improving safety.

The configuration of the diesel electric propulsion system, with three main engines and three Z-drives creates full redundancy of all major propulsion components and allows for operation on 2 engines and 2 Z-Drives, resulting in an ease of maintenance on major propulsion components and thus increasing reliability.

GPA 254 brings deep water vessel technologies to shallow water vessel operations.

GPA 254: Designed to produce flexible and economical next generation vessels
